A few more holsters as gifts.

Well Christmas came and went and I received 3 holsters from relatives. Happily, all are good quality leather pancake holsters that I can use.

I have nothing against the many black nylon holsters I see in the local gunshop and have a few for the long barrel SA handguns. I just prefer leather holsters like I prefer walnut stocks on a long gun. Old guys are usually set in their ways, I suppose.

Did anyone else get any CCW gear for Christmas?

Adam

Reminds me of the outlook of a friend (and one which I share to some degree).

"If God had intended firearms to have fiberglass stocks, he would have made fiberglass trees....and if he'd meant holsters to be made of nylon, he'd have given us nylon cows."

Got a Bearclaw for Christmas

I got a Bearclaw inside-the-pants tuckable holster for my XD. Great fit and retention and custom made. It is Kydex but I can wear my gun anywhere with out wearing my shirt untucked or wearing a jacket. So far I'm very happy with it. If you like leather look at Crossbreed.com.
