You didn`t say what sights you were useing so I assumed iron sights. If you zero at 100 yrds. you will be abt. 3.8 in. high at 30 yrds. That is max. over line of sight. You will be 5.6 in. low at 150 yrds. which means you can shoot point blank to to 150 yrds. if zeroed ar 100 yrds. You will be abt.16 in. low at 200 yrds. and 30 in. low at 250 yrds.

hofts,

I would suggest the BEST way to know where your 500 Magnum impacts at 25, 50 and 100 yards is to shoot your pistol at those yardages. My local club has target frames at 25, 50, 75, 100 and 150 yards. I use 5 bullseye targets to put up targets at those distances and then my spotting scope at the firing line bench to fill in data in my Dope Book. Hope this helps.

Adam

The scope will change the max. point blank range, but it should be close enough to put you on paper at 150 yrds. BUT, Adam is correct, the computer generated drop charts are close, but need to be checked on the range before going to the field. The last one I fielded tested was off 1/2 moa. at 600 yrds. 2 clicks mean 1/2 in. at 100 yrds., but that`s 3 in. at 600 yrds. Still a kill on a coyote, but a miss at 650 and beyond.
