what is going on

the scope for my little 22. is messed. to get all of the scope i need to have my eye about 2 inches away from the glass otherwise all i see is purple! when i look through my 30-30 scope it isn't purple so it can't be my eye.
any help out there??

It sounds like a cheap scope. Whenever you buy optics of any kind you get what you pay for. Most of my .22 have scope om them that cost more than the gun. I know that don`t seem right, but they all wear Leupolds and I never have to worry about my scope. If you can afford one get it. If you sell your .22 keep the scope. Also get one with parallex set for 60 yrds. for .22`s.
