Question Buckshot and smoothbores.....

....anyone experiment with it? I have some #3 and #1 buckshot that I intend to play with in my trade musket; not sure how effective it would be for deer hunting, but might make an interesting study for 'antipersonnel' use.

I have yoused it quit often in a modern shot gun and i would give the same advice pattern your gun try differint typs and copper plated and differint wads.
If nothing else you will have fun.

Mr. 16 gauge,

Smoothbores were made for roundball, shot and buckshot. I use my .50 smoothbore flinter Hawken with wads and #5, #6 and #7.5 shot for small game and ball for deer.
