Need some help for a 2 year old kid that died of cancer this week

On another chatboard I frequent, one about bicycles, one of the guys on that board had his kid, Collin, come down with cancer. Collin was a year old when he was diagnosed with cancer. I read about it just before Christmas and followed the story for 6 months. The father is actually good friends with some of the people I ride with. Well, at two years of age, Collin lost his battle on Wednesday, May 12th, which was the first day of this virtual race I am going to post a link to. Essentially, the top three of this virtual race will have their names put on Lance Armstrong's bike for the Tour de France. Now, I'm not really a Lance Armstrong fan when it comes to bike racing, but I love what he is doing to fight cancer. I know Collin would have appreciated having his name on Lance's bike, and I know his parents and the cycling community I hang out with would really like it.

So, I am asking my hunting friends to help me out in this endeavour. Collin was in 3rd place until today, when somebody pulled in front of him. So, I am asking you to go to this link and to vote for Robert W. who is riding the virtual race in Collin's honor. You can vote once each day starting at 9:00 am EST. Please vote every day because we have to make up about 500 votes over the length of this virtual race, which ends on May 24th.

If anybody wants, I'll PM you a link to Collin's story on the cycling chatboard, but I'll warn you ahead of time that it has made me cry almost every time I have read it.

Anyway, here is the link for the virtual race. Please vote for Robert W. who is riding for Collin Marsh. If you can spread the word, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks everybody. We have 8 more days and it looks like we have been slipping in the standings. Remember that you can vote every day starting at 9:00 am EST. I really appreciate this. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can get a top three placing. Even so, if we are in the top 10 the kid's name will be put on one of Lance's teammates bikes.

Thanks guys. As much as I wanted to get Collin in the top 3 so he would be on Lance's bike for the Tour, I don't think we are going to make it. However, a top 10 gets his name on one of Lance's teammates' bikes for the Tour and we are currently in 11th place, just 70 votes down on the 10th place person. I am hoping we can make a push in the next 5 days to get Collin into 10th place. It would suck to finish in 11th place.

Thanks to all of you.
