Actually the whole line of guns that Remington has been making with screw chokes is a lot heavier..So much heavier in fact that the 11-87 has never felt like an 1100 despite the fact they are essentially the same...except for the bbl. Heavier to make it able to take screw in chokes.. Put an 1100 bbl on it and it feels about the same...and you can put an 1100 bbl on an 11-87 despite what Rem says. Have one right here next to the desk..yote gun ya understand. BB's work well on 'em out to bout 40-45 yds
