My First Exprience in 3-D

My best friend and I went to the MCAC (Montgomery County Archery Shoot) 3-D shoot yesterday in Willis.

I wish to express my thanks to the MCAC and to the member who invited us to come see what it was all about "Chris". Chris let us follow him and his group through the course and put up with us asking questions and showing us how to shoot the course.

Everyone that we talked to was extremely friendly and polite. This was the first 3-D shoot I've ever attended and had a very enjoyable time.

Next month at the next shoot we hope to be shooters instead of just the observers that we were this time.

Again thanks for the first experience in 3-D, we will be back.

Richard

3-D shoots can be a lot of fun. Bring a bow and a handful of arrows next time and try it - you'll have even more fun.

That is my intention. My friend and I are going to be ready for the next shoot next month. Sure looked to be a lot of fun.

Thanks for the encouragement, we need all we can get.

3-D shoots are a great way to stay in practice for hunting season, and the folks there are usually really nice people. Welcome to another outdoor hobby!

I feel sorry for you going to the 3D shoots. You will want to spend every Sunday at one now. Hooked. It is a very good day in the field. Enjoy and if they have field days, by all means go. I won lots of things there but my favorite is the cold water filled balloons you stand under and shoot against your buddy. They hang water balloons 20yds from a string. The string x's on the way back to a box over your head (with holes in bottom) so your target controls the lid with a nail that is over your buddys head. Those boxes are filled with brrrrr cold water balloons. So on count of 3, you draw your arrows from quiver, lock and load, aim at your target and if you are lucky, you will hit yours first, releasing the lid and breaking the water balloon over your friends head...soaking him..lots of fun even in your back yard with your buddies. 3D shoots are the greatest.
