Can I adjust shot placement on a Kel-Tec

My Kel-Tec p11 does not have adjustable rear sight. But it hits about 5 inchs high and right even at 5 yards. Is there anything I can do to change this? In the heat of the moment I might not remember to compensate.

				POI adjustment

Only thing I can say is try some other ammo. They may shoot to a different point of impact. Also. The grip on the gun may be changed with additions or adapters etc but ammo is probably the best way.

remingtonboy, I agree with skeet; try other ammo. To be 5 inches high and right at 5 yards will put you two feet off target at 25 yards. And, yes, in the heat of the minute, you will fail to compensate. After you try other ammo, you may be able to windage adjust the rear sight if it is in a dovetail. The front sight needs to be higher and check with the manufacturer to see if other front sights are available. Your situation is a reason I prefer adjustable sights on my handguns. Adam

if the ammo of choice doesn't solve the problem you may want to consider filing a deeper rear notch.

Just looked up the schematic, that rear sight can be moved left in the notch and you can file the top of the rear sight down. If necessary you can file it down and recut the notch deeper as a combination. Ed
