Championship Match - 1000 yard VBR
Well it's official. My son is #1 in the Nation taking not only the High Junior on the 2 day aggregate but 1st place in AA overall. He brought home over $450 in prizes and two titles. He even beat me by 3 targets and tied his grandpa for the two day match. I took 9th in AAA, and my father took 5th. 150 shooters and all 3 of us were in the top 9. See the attached pics... Proud moment for me!

Congrats to him! If you are bringing this youngster with you next month, we are staying away from the range..........I hate being shown up!

For those interested in what this is, click on the youtube link. NRA's Shooting USA filmed a match last October on Ridgway. They talk about the 1000 yard VBR matches around 8 mins in.

Petey,
Good on your son and a great job of teaching to Dad. It transfers Petey, to later life, all of the practice, the practice discipline plus the range manners and respect for others. Keep working with him. My son was the Florida AA handgun silhouette champion in 1989, he was a junior shooter. Today after 23 deployments he has over 800 combat missions flown and over 850 lives saved. He is a PJ that went on to OTS and is a Combat Rescue Officer. Ed
