A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
As far as things being different in 2017 because of Donald Trump and a Republican Congress being in office, meh. Look at how different things were when it was Obama and a Democrat Congress in 2008? Not much different other than ObamaCare/Affordable Care Act. Trump will get some stuff done, but not nearly everything he promised. The biggest thing about Trump winning the election is that he gets to appoint a SCOTUS Justice to fill Scalia's seat.
