I like to split em with my .45 flinter. Not the easiest thing to do.

Ya want a challenge back off to about 25-50 yards with just about any caliber, use iron sights, and shoot all the diamonds/hearts/spades/clubs out of a 10 card. WITHOUT overlapping shots. Now THAT takes practice (I doubt I could do it right now, haven't even tried in years) I suppose you could do so with a scoped gun, but I would think you would need to be at least 150 yards out for it to be impressive

Playing cards make great targets when you shoot them "on edge". You get all kinds of comments onthe range about splitting the cards until the range master comes over and reminds you that only "approved" targets are allowed.

I asked him with a smile if he approved of my targets.....

He told me that he approved of my shooting but to go get a target.

I simply replied, "yes sir". and spent the rest of the day shooting Xs out of the six inch bullseye targets. boooorrrrrriiiiiinnngg!
