The anthem is supposed to bring a swell to your chest and a tear to your eye, not a pang and a sneer. More reason - not that any more was needed - that celebrities and performers are scum.

Appropriately , the only thought that came to mind as I groped desperately for the mute button was “Rescue Me.”

My favorite was the "magic fridge". Man,you thought of everything! Pretty good humor.

Being around 20 somethings it just paints a vision.

Aaron Neville ought to head back to the New Orleans bar he crawled out of. That was just down right bad to the point where I was beginning to think Aretha was just trying to salvage something to avoid complete embarassment and may have failed there too!

The Rolling Stones! They were 20 when I was 4 or 5! Thank fully Mick didn't take his shirt off! Now tht would be a wardrobe malfunction that would take a nations breath away! Good news is that Keith Richards hasn't aged a day.

I have to agree with everyone.
The National Anthem was murdered by both Aaron and Aretha.
You could go to any, ANY, Karioke bar and find someone doing a better job of the Stones tunes, than they did themselves.
Hopefully, when I get their age, and somehow acted like they do... I'll have a good enough friend to tell me "ENOUGH already!"

Best Commercial: The Fed Ex Cavemen.
I had tears in my eyes, and rewound it 3 times.
