Myth busters....If you have a 5 gal tank of water. Water = 8lb per gal....so... 5gal tank = 40lb. Now add a 10lb bass. Since it floats in suspension in the tank with an air bladder, does it add to the 40lb?

Yes, it does. Something has to support the weight of that bass against gravity, be that a table, your hand or that water.

Even though it is suspended within the water, the water supports it. The 40-lb tank with 10-lb bass will weigh 50 pounds.
