Cabelas outfitter xwt tent
Well I've been in the market for a good 4 season tent primarilly for hunting and fishing.
I had it narrowed down to a few choices and then got to look at the new XWT tent and case closed. This tent is 2-3X's the tent that their Alaskan Guide model is ,and that's saying something. This is truely a heavywieght when it come to this style tent and the only way to out do it IMHO would be to go with a wall tent type. The pole system is extremely strong annd the fly is super duty which looks like it will shed water forever and they claim it stands up to 75 MPH winds. I also purchased a few of the XL cots with mattresses ,things are like twin beds. I 'm looking forward to "roughing it " this year. |

They put out some nice tents and I got this one off the net in Feb. and took it out last weekend. Now I have to get the stove to go with it and should be all set.

XWT Tent
I've been contemplating the same; Cabelas Alaskan Guide 8 or the XWT...how many cots were you able to fit in the tent & how has it held up thus far?
Thanks in advance! KMoses

Two or three of us in it at a time but plenty of room for more.
It is working very well and don't think I would need anything different.

4 cots are no problem leaving enough room . there is space in vestabule in from for excess gear. No problems with the tent so far and can't see any in near future. The tent will see a couple months use by November and will update then if you'd like.
