tritium night sight question
Hi guys. I bought a Para Tac Four a few months ago (after the How hard to hide a commander? thread) and with it came a coupon to get tritium night sights factory installed for $100. Is that a good deal? Any other information would be appreciated.
By the way, I love the gun and carry it all the time comfortably, just like everyone said.

Seems pretty reasonable, on there site their prices are around 100-125 depending on the gun make

night sight
Not necessary! If you are using it for self defense and use it where you need sights then your target is well over 20 feet away and it would be hard to prove you were in any danger of your life to use deadly force. If the laws are anything like Florida's, but if you like the sights then buy them. Good Luck

i am gonna agree. i just cant see the need, think about it, if you practice enough, its kind of like the theory that you dont need a front bead on a shotgun. But as was said, if you like them and they make you fee more comfortable get them, cause being comfortable is what its about.

IMHO, Reload is wrong. Almost all conflicts that the average Joe finds himself in, take place in low light, or darkness. Not being able to see your sights is imprudent.
Letting the perp close to contact range is imprudent. Y'all do as you will, but I have tritium sights on all my carry guns.

I think Clint Smith said it all with this saying: If they're too close to miss, then you had better not miss. He believes in aimed fire at all, but contact range. I agree with him and I personally like the Heine Staight Eight Night sights. Heine sights are set up with one dot over the other with two different colors, thus resembling the number eight. The three across dots are very hard for me to get right due to old eyes. Good luck whtaever you decide and I hope you never have to use it in self defense, but if you do, I hope you have it on you.

Even at 5 yards shooting USPSA, I'm using the sights to a degree. You can track that front sight during recoil with your eyes and that will help your follow up shots greatly.
Night sights are also very useful for home defense where you may have to make a tight shot under the cover of darkness.
