I haven’t had a chance to make any for the last few years but I will probably start up again when I finish my shed. I like Williams products. I'm not too familiar with the other brewery suppliers. Williams Is first class.

Not beer, but my current batch of mead has been ageing for about seven months now.

A buddy of mine bought one of those "Beer Machines" out of Cabela's a few years back. Kind of expensive, but he was turning out some good beer.

Its been a while but I use to brew 15 gal at a time. If anyone wants to get started I would recommend this book. The New Complete Joy of Home Brewing. By Charlie Papazian. This book will take you through your first batch to advance homebrewing. It has hundreds of recipes. The types of beer I like would be red to brown ales.

I brewed a couple of batches
a few years back. Called it "Red Eye Stripey" after a really mean South American tropical fish. We had a place called a brew factory where you could go to make your beer. They had a notebook full of recipes all the ingredients and a brew crew that would give advice and help as needed. You'd mix and brew one night and I believe it was about two weeks later go back and bottle it up. They would store it till it cure in refrig until bottling. It would make 5 dozen 22oz Bombers. It was fun while we did it. 4 or 5 of us would get together and each make a different beer (with our own adjustments for personalization), labels. At bottling we'd swap a case for variety and do a little taste testing for quality assurance.
Sure seems like we had a lot of volunteers come bottling. Unfortunately, the place closed down. Our biggest problem was that the beer was fresh with no preservatives so you'd have to drink ... alot .. so your beer wouldn't go old. 5 Cases between 4 or 5 buds isn't bad but 25 cases of bombers! i must've been getting old or something! That type of problem used to be a challenge rather than a task. Good Luck with your quest.
