THIS REALLY ISN'T ABOUT THE SUBJECT, ALTHOUGH IT COULD BE. I KILLED A LAMP ONE DAY IN OUR LIVING ROOM AT HOME. MY DUMB A67 SISTER COCKED IT AND I DIDN'T KNOW IT, PULLED THE GUN OUT OF THE CLOSET, PULLED UP AND SHOT THE LAMP CENTER MASS. TO THIS DAY IT WAS ONE OF MY BEST SHOTS.

BOY DID I GET MY BACKSIDE BURNT FOR THAT ONE. DIDN'T SEE THE RED RYDER AGAIN FOR A YEAR. THAT WAS THE LONGEST YEAR OF MY LIFE FROM AGE 10 TO 11. I COULD HAVE LIED ABOUT HOW IT GOT BROKE EXCEPT FOR THE LITTLE ITSY BITSY TEENY HOLE IN THE WINDOW PANE. SIDES THAT ANYTHING THAT GOT BROKEN IN THE HOUSE WAS AUTOMATICALLY LITTLE BILLYS FAULT. SO I JUST REPORTED TO THE BASEMENT FOR THE "THIS IS GOING TO HURT ME MORE THAN IT DOES YOU" SPEECH AND TOOK MY LICKEN'.

Now, I have a RWS Model 36 in .177 and have killed plenty of doves with it. My uncle has the same gun but in .22 and he claims to kill whitetails in his back yard with it regularly. Somehow, I seriously doubt that, but then I never would have though you could kill a goose at 80 yards with a pellet gun, nor a grey fox at 50 yards. So, maybe I need to start believing my uncle. I hunt geese a lot and very few people can kill geese at 80 yards with a shotgun.

Yea i here they die realy hard when you hit them at 80 yards. But i think killin whitetails is illegal with a .22 unless you have like an indian permite or something but i dont know i just heard that. Keep up the bird killing because they're are so many of them. Its good in the end for the dogs if you have any!

It is definitely illegal to kill deer with a .22, but this guy pretty much kills them whenever they are in his garden (i.e., residential neighborhood) whether they are in season or not and regardless of whether or not he has a license. The fact that both he and his son got lyme disease from tick bites probably has something to do with it.

I have been debating the same thing myself recently, but with my bow. I have 6 deer that hang out in the common area of my development and I let my dog chase them every time we are out there and we see them. Problem is that they keeping coming back. The bigger problem is that I have found 4 ticks on my dog already and it has just started to warm up here.

Fabs we find ticks on the dogs all winter in my neighborhood. I don't think it has anything to do with the deer

Yeah, I got white-tail problems to; figured that I'd get a spear into one, when I can afford it. But now at-least I shoot hollow points at them to scare them off. Here are so pics of kills I got with my RWS 34 .22 cal.
I got that squirrel all the way from the door at the bottom deck, in a stand-off position; with an off scope!

If Nulle would ever give me the go ahead I'd drop a 90 pound rottweiler pitbull cross that lives next door that is the scorn of my existence! He's already said a shotgun with buckshot or my 25-06 wasn't an option since it was in town. Sometimes I really miss where I use to live. Rest assured, I have that SOB dog's number...

If I'd had that problem; I'd throw a spear into that hassle and said it was coming right at me!
