Berger Bullets
Anyone try them? I found some at scheels and it looks like a really accurate bullet with the long skinny tip like a match bullet.

I shoot them exclusively in my 17Rem. 25gr Berger Match. Not the MEF or Mollys. Just the flat base, hollow point match. Excellent accuracy and performance.

Has anyone tried them in a 300 win mag, if so, what load worked the best.

I`ve never shoot Burger bullets in anything but a .17 cal., but I have found them to be good bullets. They seem to shoot fairly well in about any of my gun. I shot alot of Calhoons also , but have found with them that they shoot extreemly good in some barrels and not worth a crap in others. I can tell you though that Bergers are worth giveing a try.

Seems at the shootouts at the Varmint Hunter Jamboree, Bergers and Sierra seemed to dominate.....

I`ve shot the 210 gr. VLD in a few .300 magnums, very accurate, and great terminal performance on game. It will make a good exit hole on groundhogs, and hold together good enough to go through two deer. The 180 gr. VLD out of a 7STW will mushroom past 700 yards. They are one of my favorite bullets, but unfortunatly at $30.00 dollars per 100, they are just to expensive for me to shoot much.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum. I've only used Bergers in my .17Remington and various 22 centerfires. I'm very satisfied with what I've used though. I just wish they weren't so darned expensive. Best wishes.
