Scout Scope

Has anyone seen Leupolds new 2.5 Scout Scope. I've tried to order one. They've been discontinued according to Leupold and should be out with their new one. I need one for a new Taurus M62. Burris has a 2.0 out but not sure about the quality of Burris. Also its a heavy Duplex. Any help on the Lewey appreciated. Crowcommander.

scope

Before spending money on the fixed power scout scope
maybe try one of those scopes made for shotguns. I have a nikon
shotgun scope on my browning semi auto which uses the same type of base as the taurus where it mounts by the rear sight dovetail. The eye relief is fine as I believe it was designed for cantilever mounting on shotguns. Not sure of the distance on the taurus so it may not work for you, but maybe worth a try. Also the parallax is set for 75 yards which is pretty good for a .22. Hope it helps.

scout scope

I agree with foto, the shogun scope is often overlooked for a scout applicaiton.
As for Burris, I shoot 4 different EER models in 2x, 4x and 3x9, they are top of the line. Campare very favorably to the Leupolds I own (may actually be better).
