Question Crossbow slings

Question... How many of you that use crossbows use the sling? I found it not to be the best thing. My bow slides down my back and ends up hanging by the sling anyhow. While carrying the bow strung, it just hangs down anyhow. Wrapping your arm around the sling to carry is a task you remember at the end of the day. Do you have a solution to the problem? If so, what? I solved this problem. Just wanted to know what most others do.

It is nice to see the big man upstairs turn on the light of the day each morning But does he have to shine it in our eyes?

I had a sling on my crossbow, but I don't any more. I used to have the same problems with the sling, so I just took it off. I don't find it difficult to carry in or out, even with a stand strapped to my back. If it's an hour before legal shooting time, it would be nice to be able to have a sling as I walk into the stand, but it's not a too much of a trade-off.

I'm partially disabled and need the sling on my Horton to help hold steady, other than that only use for climbing ladder stand. Had same slippage problem with the nylon strap and glued on some thin neoprene rubber strips to stop the slippage. Give it a try!
