Mod 70 safety

Has any one had trouble with the safety leaver lifting out when moving it forward and back any recall's.gun is 20yrs old.

The situation you describe with the safety lever should not happen. My recommendation would be to email at www.winchesterguns.com or call their Customer Service. It may be something covered under warranty and they may direct you to a local authorized repair facility. All the best...

I have had a problem with a Model 70

I really like Winchester Model 70 rifles and have quite a few of them. Last year, I had a problem with a Winchester Model 70 bolt and took it to the local gunsmith. It appraised it as a production problem and swapped firing pin and safety assemblies with me. The problem was fixed in about two minutes. All the best...
