Thanks to bulletpusher and several others for this sending me this site. I have checked them out and believe they are legit (Enough so that I will try to help them, you make up your own mind please.). I am going to print out there list and see how I can help. I spoke with Vaughn L. Johnson via email and they will accept used but serviceable gear, Bibles (going to try to get some Bibles together in adition to other stuff myself.), etc. The carabineers they are asking for DO need to be able to carry a load (For the person who asked me that) so no the keychain style won't do. I am sure we all have something from this list laying around we could donate, or at the very least know where we could get part of it cheaply. Let support the folks out there watchin' out for out backsides and sendin' messages down range at 2000+fps! Thanks petey for letting me post this. GoodOlBoy

Here is something I got from another sight.
"CHICAGO (Reuters) -- A Catholic university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has blocked an attempt by Republican students to raise money for a group called "Adopt a Sniper" that raises money for U.S. sharp-shooters in Iraq and Afghanistan. The students were selling bracelets bearing the motto "1 Shot 1 Kill No Remorse I Decide". "Clearly the rhetoric of that organization raised some questions and we had some strong objections as a Jesuit university," Marquette University school spokeswoman Brigid O'Brien said Thursday. The students, representing a group called College Republicans, originally got permission to set up a table at the student union to raise money for U.S. troops in Iraq. But they chose to promote a group called Adopt a Sniper, which says on its Web site it supports snipers deployed by the United States armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The group says it "helps real snipers get the real gear they need to help keep us safe." The brainchild of a Texas police SWAT officer Adopt a Sniper (www.adoptasniper.org) has raised thousands of dollars in cash and gear to supplement the kit of sharp shooters in U.S. combat platoons."

I won't pretend to understand what objections were raised unless said folks have not read a Bible. Christians are given very specific instructions about how war should be carried out in the Bible, so I dunno.
ANYWAY I found a good source for Bibles (Maybe not the best, but the best so far) I can get a hardbound Nelson KJV Bible that is a 4x6 for around $3.50 each plus chipping and damaging. Which is $35 per ten, and of course $350 per hundred (ain't math great). I am still looking for the best source I can get for P38s. They guys said the men are being issued MRE's so they don't know if they will have alot of use for P38s but send them on anyway. I do remember, however, that alot of our military folks are being sent canned goods from home and are having problems opening more than a few of them. Plus a little metal p38 has about a gazillion uses. I just wish I had the money to put all our boys and girdles into decent body armour, and send each one a 1911a1 and a kabar. . . . but we can only do what we can do. More to come as I have more info.
