Hmm are DOW slow to espond normally?

Hi All,

I sent in an question to the DOW web site asking about the Hunter Ed cards for folks from outside the US but after a couple of weeks no reply

Is this usual when dealing with them?

At this rate I will be looking for another place to hunt rather than Colorado

Brithunter,

I know CO offers a 1 day class that's good for that year only. I'm not sure how often they offer it, heck it might be every day for all I know.

Might want to ask one of the residents of Colorado, like Dan.

I know when I've sent the DOW email it normally takes them a few days to respond but never a week. Maybe ask them for a list of times/dats that they offer that 1 day class. I'm sure you can come over, take a simple test and be hunting that same day.

Sometimes, DOW takes forever to respond. I'm lucky, my office is about 5 minutes from them I usually go over! Don't give up on them, they will get back to you.

Hi Dan,

You simply do not know how right that is I now have recieved an e-mail form another lady at DOW about a CID number and what I need to send her to obtain mine and it looks like the information and stuff I ahve here should qualify for the Hunter Ed card. It will take a day or two to get the papers copied or scanned in and sent over to them and then the ladies can make a final decision on what I have supplied. It's looking good though and although I am well ahead in arranging all this time wise it's a real weight off my mind.

Now I can really start to plan ahead and really delve into which would be the best place/time to go and with whom. Still looking at DAL but I am not putting all my eggs in one basket I have been given another personally recommended place to look at and make enquiries with. Must be getting old as I seem to be enjoying the dreaming and planning more and more

Once again thank you for your help

Brithunter...
I know what you mean. The anticipation of the hunt is one of the greatest thrills. I already got my new Colorado appoication book but which I could forward to you. It appears as if everything is under control now. Wish you luck where ever you go.

Hi All,

Thank you for all the good wishes, yes I believe that all is under way on sorting out the legalities now. At work on Thursday I made out a list of the expenses that this trip will entail talk about shock......... yes I knew that Elk hunting would not come cheap but darn it it added up to a lot more that originally thought so now I am trying to work out ways to make the funds come in faster I need a better paid job for starters, may be diet a bit

Hmm a lottery win would come in rather handy
