.30-30 Varmint load(110gr spire points)
This is an excellent load in my .30-30 NEF sb2 single shot.
5 shot group measures 1.192" take the flier out and it measures .442" ( hate those fliers )

BRITHUNTER;
I want that load for my 30-30. I've got pair of Savages (340 & 840) and I have loaded the Hornady 130 PSP, but it ain't that pretty.

Nice shooting guys!
this reminds me of an article i saw within the last 2 tears or so. I can not remember if it was in NRA or guns and ammo magazine. They had found an older double rifle, 30-30 on one side, and it turned out to be 20GA BP "rifled" ball on the other. had seperate sights for each barrel out to 500 yards. with research it turnedout to be a woman's rifle who did safari's with her husband, and appearently using that lil rifle, she did very well. don't mean to hijack, but this reminded me that while the 30-30 may be getting longer in the tooth, it aint ready for the old folks home just yet. |
