Lilred's Version of Huntin Wheels
Wanted to tell ya'll bout one of my projects I'm werkin on..thought ya'll might git a kick out of it..and I'll post pics when I'm done..
My ole Chev. 4x4 has got 255,000 miles on it. Now dont git me wrong, he purrs like a kitten still..but eventually, he's gonna blow like a volcano lol... So, Lilred decided to take some of that money she been sittin on..and I bought a 85 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 fer 700$. Got brand new mud grips, kick-butt bumper w/ winch and some other cool stuff that I can reuse like the headers & Edelbrock 650cfm carb and all. Body is beat up..but it runs good. Well, I got greedy. I got another 318 block..so we decided to build another motor, and put a new body on it to boot. This here is the best part..ya see..w/ the exception of the headers and intake..it'll look like a stock 318. But..he's gonna be a 385 cube 400 horse w/ 500 ft lbs of torque monster LOL yeeehaaaww...(I got a bad case of the leadfoot) Right now in motor parts I done spent 2 grand..but that's ok it's werth it. Doin a bunch of mods to support the motor's gumption..we dont think the stock stuff will hold up. I'm paintin him a dark orange. Got the plates already too.Fer those of ya'll that dont know..my name is Jennifer Lee..well..Lee's my middle name. So, I found it appropiate (er however ya spell it) to git the tags w/ "Jeneral" on em. I got some Hazzard County reproduction plates to stick under my plates. Dual exhaust is already on it and I'll reuse the headers. This truck is gonna be my second resto..the 67 Olds Cutlass was the first. This'll probaly be my last...but the Jeneral is gonna be a whopper..lemme tell ya. I caint wait till it's done! I'll show ya'll some before and after pics ..this project will probaly take a few months. I spect I'll have $7,000 in it fore it's over..but what the hell, ya only live once!

Lilred, I'm impressed. Can't wait to see some pics. I've owned a few Mopars and have always liked the 318 engine. One of the best engines they ever made. Wish you luck with your project.
