Well, I am a Terps fan since I went to the University of Maryland, but I would prefer to see an ACC team win than anybody else. My sorry team won the championship two years ago and didn't even make it to the tourney this year.

I was routing for the Tarheels the entire way, and even though they never trailed in the game that I can think of, and even had a 15 point lead, I believe twice, they still managed to make it a nail biter at the end. I wonder if the refs are told to keep it close because they definitely weren't calling moving pics. Sometimes, the refs just ruin sports for me.

Well I'm an Illini fan and will certainly give the Tarheel men their due-they outplayed the Illini last night.

I will say though that if we're talking about some of the ref's calls, the U of NC definately got the better end of the deal. IMHO I saw more reach-in fouls and personals on May than I can shake a stick at-very reminiscient of Shaq posting up low under the paint.

It was a very exciting season and an enjoyable championship game to watch for the fans!

I'm here to tell you, the TarHeels have played all year right down to the wire. They just about kill me every game and then at the last seconds of the game they pull it out. What a thriller and today I hear McCants is leaving for the NBA. Well I say good bye, we will not miss him. He has played for McCants all year as far as I'm concearned.

Good game and I'm glad the season is over, I can't take it any longer..

I don't like McCants that much and I am glad that he was shut down during the second half of the game. Granted, I can say that now since the Tarheels won.

However, I think most of these guys play for themselves. Granted, some are better passers than others and some are less selfish on the court than others, but in the end they are all looking for an NBA contract. Such is life.

I find that there are very few unselfish sports players out there. However, last I heard the USC quarterback/Heisman trophy winner was staying for another year to try and win another national championship. That is classy in my book since he could be playing in the NFL making millions and he is risking a pro career by playing another year in college and risking an injury.

Like Fabsroman, I'm a graduate of Univ. of Maryland who was thrilled to see an ACC team take it all. I'm also a fan of Tarheels coach Williams from his Kansas days. Illinois is a gutsy squad, but May was simply too much to contend with. Somewhere along the way the Terrapins shot themselves in the foot. So, noth8ing new there. Best wishes.

I was very pleased, even as a Florida Gator, to see the Tar Heels win.
