Fishin Spots to check out in OHIO
In Ohio,.....the Fishing Opps are very endless:
,.......and I know of a alot of places that no one might not even think of. For instance,.Big Walnut Creek in the Southern part of Franklin Co. If you are out for just dippin the pole in the water and catchin something,..carp and cat abound. Here`s a couple of areas to check out..... Another hot spot (especailly when the water is up),is the Scioto River that runs from Downtown Columbus, OH.(and a little farther north), all the way down to the Ohio River. But the area to check out is behind the old K-mart on S High St (Rt23), or you can go further south on Rt23 to Rt762 and you can fish either the Scioto or Big Derby. *HINT: After a good rain,......and when the water is up,that`s the time to grab your gear and get out and catch ya some big fish. I am very serious,...there are some big fish in The Scioto River!! I PROMISE!! Alot of snags as well,....but well worth it if you can hook a BIGGON! HEY WOLVIE
ANOTHER PLACE TO CHECK OUT IS THE MAD RIVER GOING NORTH STARTING AT EASTWOOD PARK, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A FLY FISHERMAN. GREAT SMALLMOUTH AND TROUT FISHING. IF YOU ARE A WADER CARRY A WADIND STAFF THOUGH AND BE CAREFUL OF HOLES. IF YOU WATCH YOUR P'S AND Q'S YOU WILL BE FINE. THERE ARE PLACES ALONG THE RIVER WHERE IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW BETTER YOU'D THINK YOU WERE ON A TROUT STREAM IN MONTANA OR WYOMING. THE OHIO PARK SYSTEM AND THE STATE OF OHIO HAVE DONE A LOT OF HARD WORK TO IMPROVE THEIR IMAGE AS FAR AS RIVER AND PARK CLEAN UP IN THE LAST 20 OR SO YEARS. AS I TOLD A BUCKEYE IN ONE OF MY POSTS A FEW MONTHS AGO THE STATE SHOULD BE APPLAUDED FOR IT'S CLEAN UP EFFORTS. YES THERE IS A SMALL ENTRANCE FEE TO THE PARKS BUT I THINK IT'S GREAT BECAUSE IT KEEPS A LOT OF THE RIF RAF OUT. YEARS AGO IT WAS NOT UNCOMMON TO FIND DRUG NEEDLES BROKEN ALCOHOL CONTAINERS LAYING AROUND THE PARK. GREAT PLACES FOR KIDS. THAT ISN'T A PROBLEM ANYMORE. THE MAIN PROBLEM NOW IS FAGGOTS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE RESTROOMS SOLICITNG SEX. ISN'T IT A GREAT WORLD WE LIVE IN? ANYWAY, YOU ARE RIGHT THERE IS SOME GREAT FISHING TO BE HAD IN OHIO. IF YOU PLAN ON VISITING MAKE SURE YOU BRING A POLE, YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Yo Billy D.,......
I know about the Ohio Park system,...
I also know the area your refering to,... I have hunted from Lake Erie to The Ohio River,..and Dayton to The Ohio Power Properties, and including the Zelliski State Forest and also most of the Meade Paper Properties. I am not aware of the rif,raf at Mad River,...I guess that is an area I didnt get the privilage of visiting ,... I live in Ohio for 38 yrs before moving to Upstate NY,... But I can tell you this,...as for fees to enter Ohio State parks ,...I think u may be wrong about fees,..and So I am attaching an link for you to check out,...So you can see what areas are or arent charged. As far as I know there are no charges for ANY of Ohio`s State Parks. So here`s the link,... OhioStateParks.Marketing@dnr.state.oh.us I also know of some nice spots as far as Lakes go and there are a few pay ponds that produce some huge catfish. If ya got a boat,...I know of some good launch areas and some hidden areas for some nice bass fishin`. But hey dude,..and everyone else,..please click the links that I have here,...you`ll find out alot more and have a better time in the Buckeye State. Ohio is one of very few states that actually care about the land, the animals, and the hunters and fishermen Etc. Again here`s the link if you missed it in the earlier part of the post. OhioStateParks.Marketing@dnr.state.oh.us Also check out my blog links below and there are links to other interest of huntin and so on. Later All SAFE HUNTIN~

The Mad River is the only river in Oh. that has trout. I`m not a trout fisherman, but I have seen some that would go over 3 lbs. when fishing and have heard of some over 5 lbs. being taken by people that know what they are doing.

Many of the inland lakes in NE OH are geat for bass, walleye, and crappie, especially Mogadore Reservoir, and Lake Milton. And there's nothing better than pike fishing in the Cuyahoga River, especially the stretch between Kent and Cuyahoga Falls.
