338 Win Mag 250gr Bullet and RL-22
Anyone shooting the above combination of stuff.
If so, and you know the velocity could you tell me how much powder you're using. Don't do the following! Work up cautiously. I'm shooting 75gr RL-22 and Sierra 250gr SPBTs and my chrony says 2850+. I don't think I believe it. No pressure signs but it must be getting there. 74gr backs it down a bit but pressure indication wise not much difference.

Wow!
I was getting those velocities with 200 Gr bullets, but not 250's with RL-22. The load was very similar to what you posted. My 250's were punching around 2350-2500. Of course, that was a Browning A-Bolt CS, so were probably talking like a 23-24" barrel or so? I suppose if you have a 26" barrel and a different twist then you could be getting those velocities easily? I could never get that RL powder to shoot out of my gun though. H4350 always work best out of it, but I don't have to worry about it anymore. It's been replaced with my 7 RUM who's proved be be one of my best purchases to date!!

Roy, I would be concerned about the pressure you are getting! Even though you said you don't show too much and backing off to 74.0 grains you can see some change. Here is some data I ran on my Q/L program and it is usually in the ball park as far as velocity and pressure goes.
Shoot safely, Jude
