Thanks for the message I find this 7mm Allen Magnum most intresting. I may end up getting touch with Kirby to see what else he has up his sleeve. The possibilities are endless once you start having fun!

What's up his sleeve?? What's up his sleeve, you ask!

338 Allen Magnum that's what's up his sleeve. I was going to go that route but it won't fit on a Rem action. But a $1100 action is a bit out of my league. Designed to shoot 300/350 WC bullets.

That otta keep ya thinking for a while

300-350gr WC hmmm!! very intresting indeed

If these are traveling at any kind of speed I just may be looking at this .338 Allen Magnum with the same kind of wonder lust look a had on my face when my father handed my my first rifle a single shot 22 rim fire. He then said when you learn to shoot this then we'll move on. Damn I was good with that rifle in short order.

Roy don't forget the 50 AM, throws a 900 gr bullet the same speed the 50 bmg shoots the 750 gr. what about the 375 AM? or the 270 or 6.5 and don't forget the 257 AM.

yeah rum, he makes one, but ya better email kirby to get the specs, I hate to quote numbers that I'm not absolutely sure is correct and kirby has ran so much info by me that I just can't remember most of it, I think the parent case is either a 338 rum or a 338 lapua, kirby's theory goes by long high bc bullets and a fast twist barrel chambered in a high capacity, sharp shoulderd case shooting ball powder to prolong barrel life. thats the sum of what I can remember.

Ridge Runner:

I have the first 7MM AM built, after Kirby's test rifle of course. It's a fantastic gun and handles the long range stuff like you wouldn't believe. Got my deer and elk with it.

You said a Lilja 1-9. Did you mean 1-7???

It'll shoot the lighter bullets like a lazer but you might want to try the 200 grain Wildcat ULD RBBT's. From about 700 yards on out they out shoot anything and from the muzzle on out they have more energy than any lighter bullets.

Good luck with your new gun. You'll like it.

No ss7, I 'm pretty sure mines a 1-9 twist, I ordered this barrel last spring asked for a 3 groove but dan wasn't makin them yet, I didn't want to get the 1-7 due to the fact that I didn't wanna be tied down to just the heavies, the chamber will be throated for the 160 accubonds or the SMK's, may try some a-max's also. I'm sure it'll do fine lots farther than I can hit anything
