Hi evan,

Well I have only shot a couple of them, in fact I helped out a dealer friend with a little test. He got 2 brand new 93's and set up a scope on one of them, bore sighted it and then we did the final zero at 200 yards. Next we took the whole mount off one rifle and put it on the other rifle and fired that again at 200 yards, the POA hardley moved, if I remember correctly it was about 2" difference but it may have been even less, anyway it was still in the bull on the 200 yard target, both rifle were chambered for .308 and we were using feaderla American Eagle ammo.

As for the operation ................. well I have a couple of straight pull rifles, an old Steyr M95 and a Mauser M96 (1996) and I really do want a Ross M10 or model 1910 in .280 Ross .

Now not all the styles of fittings on the 93 Blaser grabs me, that germanis or Bavarian style is a bit angular for me. I friend has just brought one after getting rid of his Sauer model 202 as to be honest the accuracy was very mediocre to say the least. beautiful looking rifle with stunning wod however 2" was an average group size and walt is an excellent shot. Have yet to see the rifle in the flesh

Now with a more conservative styled stock set and mild engraving on the action, they are rather nice to look at, some folks gibe at the 3 shot magazine but in a hunting rifle how often do you need more than one shot? As for the overall styling .............. well can you honestly say that some of the American designed rifles really look better? For instane Savage have only recently really restyled their rifles to be much improved, how can anyone really say the old 340 is styled well. The Remington 722 left an awful lot tb be desired and the new 710 well the less said the better

Billy,

If I had a a job I too would be working class now when I was working I built up a small collection of rifles, OK on most of them I had to pay more than you would in the US, however I have them now, you like the T/C's, good for you. To my mind they have not much in redeeming features.

But that's one thing about this hobby ............. it's Broad Church

when i was a little boy 60 plus years ago my mother counseled me about pretty faces and about picking a girl that had other values besides beauty and big boobs. certainly those things are nice but not the most important.

you are correct of course about the t/c. i first became familiar when i shot handgun silhouette with them. they were deadly, i wished at times i could say the same for myself.

as far as being pretty the t/cs are ugly as a mud fence to me. but i've never had one fail me. as long as the rams went down at 200 meters with my 7mm tcu i was happy. there have also been many gophers that went to the big grass patch in the sky courtesy of my 223 encore rifle. and my 44 mag pistol has filled the freezer on occasion with fresh venison. i have only one really usable hand to use so i like to hunt with a handgun a lot. sometimes a rifle is just to unwieldy for me to handle.

pretty,no. effective and versitile yes.

Hi Billy D,

The idea of handgun hunting I like however it's not an option here in the UK. I even enquired about having one, Long barreled Pistols are still legal due to a lop hole, 12"+ barrels but there is a minimum overall length which requires a wrist rest to reach. This complicates things as I believe it would make the gun illegal in the US and to have the reast removable might make it illegal here so I gave up on that idea just too much hassle. Might look into it again as I am now a memeber of a club with it's own indoor pistol range but we will see
