Sierra software and manual

I bought the Sierra infinity five ballistic software and their reloading manual from Midway USA last week. The lady that helped me and I spoke quite a while about which of the packages I wanted. I was looking at the 2004 catalog and they offered the ballistic software, then they offered the manual and ballistic software, and then if she and I was reading it right they offered the manual, and the software which contained the ballistic software as well as the manual on cd that they called Infinity Suite if I remember correctly. I forgot and left my catalog at work. According to the instructions in the software package you are suppose to register the software. I assumed this was stand alone software that you downloaded to the computer you were using. What I installed did not ask to be registered, and the only thing I can get to run is the ballistic software, and I have to have the cd in the computer to even run it. I called Midway and they immediately sent me another package out. When I received it yesterday it appears to be the same package. It doesn't say anything about the manual being on the cd. I can return my old set for credit, or send this new one back. I hate to open it and try it because although I can return it for credit, someone down the line is going to be stuck with a returned product, probably Sierra I would suppose. I can contact Midway or Sierra Monday and I'm sure either or both can give me an answer because in the past they have both been very helpful, but I was wanting to look it over this weekend while I had a little time. I was wanting the software to include the manual basically so I could hopefully install it at work on my computer to read over breaks and lunch hour. Does anyone else have any experience with this package? The Midway part number is 651835.

If it didn`t ask for registration it likely didn`t fully install. Try reinstalling it and see if that helps. It should reinstall right over the top of your first attempt.

Joe, thanks for your help. I had earlier tried uninstalling and re-installing the program. I then went ahead and opened the new software that Midway had sent me and it does the same thing. In the licensing agreement it tells me I need the most current interent explorer to run it or some of the stuff might not work. The only thing I can find is the ballistics stuff. I may just have to call Sierra Monday and see what they say and if they can help me.
