wolf attack

I just heard on the news about a 22 year old man killed by wolves. If this is true this pack of wolves could be very dangerous.
This apparently took place in Saskatewan. The reporter said it's the first such attack in over 100 years.

A man was killed near Tofino BC approx 6 years ago, the media keeps wolf kills low profile, because wolves are closely related to man's best friend and in some areas endangered, and they want good press where wolves have been re-introduced to certain areas.

I encountered a pack of 8 while on a moose hunt in northwestern Ontario some years back. They were pretty intent on a moose they were tracking. I had seen it the day before. I don't think any of them were much under 100lbs., pretty big brutes. I don't imagine a human would be much opposition for them if unarmed. It pays to be careful out there. Best wishes.
