Thumbs up Absolutely Gorgeous Buck Kodiak!

That is unquestionably, the nicest looking buck that I have seen harvested this season and I reside in what I consider to be a nice place to hunt deer. Awesome!!!

The symetry and mass on that rack is outstanding. He's a pig to boot!!!

Congrats on an awesome animal. When you get a chance, I'd love to hear the story of this hunt!

That is a very large deer in my book. Nice rack also. What's the story how far, what caliber, what bullet? Need a new partner for next year?

I was out last Tuesday and had just walked down the long cutline in the picture. I had seen a few rubs and one good scrape along the way. I came to the top of a small hill took a look around and kept going. After a short distance I thought I should have stayed on the hill and sat for awhile so I returned. After about 10 min. a doe stepped out about 200 yards from the way I had originaly came, looked over her shoulder back into the trees and started walking away from me, so I got my gun ready. A second doe stepped out and she too looked over her shoulder back into the trees only to be followed by a third doe. All three were standing looking back into the bush and my heart was pounding so hard I could hear it in my ears and all I kept saying was please let there be a nice Buck following. Then out he came with his head held high, one look at the dark rack and i squeezed the trigger and down he went with a well placed neck shot. I was shooting my 7mm Remington Ultra Mag with handloads using 154gr Hornady Interbonds. This load combo shoots 5 shots 1/2 MOA groups and I love them. Thanks for all the intrest guys. I can't wait to see what he will score.

I know score is important to lots of folks, but the vast majority of deer hunters only see a deer like that in their dreams. The way you felt when he stepped out into the clearing can never be quantified by words or tape measure.
BTW, that's a pretty good little deer there.
