That is awesome. I am trying to look for some land so that I can start doing something of my own, even if it is only shooting squirrels. I am tired of having to deal with asking for permission to hunt and I am tired of dealing with tons of people at the range.

I think that might be John Taffin's place. I think he mentioned to me once that he goes by "Hammer" on that forum.
It's outside Boise Idaho. Guns and shooting are about the only thing John and his wife spend any money on. And he writes full time.

What a cheap looking dump. You think he could have spent a little on paneling for over the fiberboard.
Back when I worked for a homebuilder, I was going have them build me a house that had a 100yd underground shooting range. But then I bought a classic 'vette and the cash flow ain't been quite the same.

Rocky,
John Taffin goes by JT on that forum. Lee Jurras shows up sometimes too, but he isn't "Hammer" either. Speaking of 'Vettes, I actually prefer the earlier models, but I don't know that the '54 might not be a little too early. I saw one in CA in 1962. 235 six cylinder with dual carbs and a funny looking hard top. My dad had a '60 model with a 283 and automatic. He got a ticket for loud pipes down around Shiner while we were headed back from deer hunting. I think the lease was 10,000 acres around Pearsall, so that must have been in 1972 or 1973. Thank you, Paul. John and I were discussing chat boards, and he talked about "Hammer." I must have mis-remembered a bit of it. On reflection, John doesn't work with those kinds of rifles much, so you must be right.

Rocky,
At least you remembered! Being a few years older than you, I can assure you, memory can be very unsure at best as age progresses. You have a very nice forum set up here, I hope I can contribute without coming across as a "know it all" intruder or as an "expert". |

Paul, nobody here knows it all - and very few of us even think we do!
Those who are beyond the half-century mark realize that even if we DID know it once, we can't remember it now!

There's little doubt that this is the most complete reloading setup I've ever seen. It's beyond my wildest hope to ever afford something like this. If it were mine I'd probbly never go outside again. That's "Fantasy Land" and then some. Best wishes.
