NC got birds?
Anybody from North Carolina, Have you got birds down there? I booked a hunt several months ago to fill a swan permit and stay an extra day and hunt puddle ducks. Everything was set, deposit sent, days off work scheduled--- Then this evening I got an email saying We have no birds, We have no swans, The airforce is training over the sound, and Im refunding your deposit if you send me your address. Makes a fellow wonder!

At least he didn't say we have no birds, but you are welcome to come down and try to hunt anyway, but either way you slice it I'm not refunding your deposit.

Oh yes, I agree. I had a bad experience with an outfitter in Maine which I ranted about forever. But this guy appears to be an honest fellow. I already called and thanked him and told him I will be calling again next fall. Then I found another area in NC, checked the new guy out and am still going to try to use up that swan permit. We will see what happens.
