Just Info..

Mornin Boys,, Ya know, My eyes are not like they used to be and I don't want a scope yet, So I went to optic sights on my T/C hawken, I got their optic sights, I was still havin problems seain (x-Navy) So I found some fixes,,, I need 250 glasses to read, I am far sighted, This year I could not sea the front sight (or game) with glasses and could not sea the rear with out em, So I tried usin a pair of 125 and I have my old eyes back (kinda) 150 was to much, My next problem was the front sight that T/C makes it too small for me, I shoot usin the 6 o'clock position , After 1 month of tryin to find some one to make a bigger front sight for me I found this site https://www.hivizsights.com/cart/sho...d=36&cat=Rifle
I am gettin the Item No. DOVM500 Dovetail Rifle Style Front Sight, T/C
measure's from the dove tail up, this company don't, So the 380 won't work, Plus I have found out that the T/C rear optic sight works better the farther down you can have it, Less play side to side, I know that 1/16 play ain't much, that's only 1/32 each side but it makes a difference at 50 yards,, I will check it all out when I get my barrel back from T/C and the new sight in the mail, The boy that I talked to where I bought it from said he uses the DOVM-3/8" Dovetail / Rifle / Muzzle Loader Sight on his 45 and 50 T/C Hawkens, and thinks I ""MIGHT"" have a good idea goin with the DOVM500,, He likes the sights,,,,,

Drop em with the OLD optic sights

I'm workin with the peep sight idea, It may or may not stay, BUT,, usin all 3 together is interestin,,,
I even put a "Nose Touch " on it,, for consisticy,, It works,,,,

hobbles,

Good thread. As we age, those iron sights get a bit harder to use. I can still see my open sights ok. Peep sights are not legal in the Traditional ML deer season in PA. The book says (page 32), "Iron open "V" or notch sights only. Fiber optic inserts permitted." Peep sights and scopes are legal in the week-long October antlerless deer season.

I believe here in Kentuck you can use anything to hunt deer with, Matter 0f fact I believe they don't even call it hunting here,, It's more like self defense, Kill a deer,, Save a car,,,
