Mornin echo
I know what ya mean bout the eyes,
Now,,, My story,,
I need 250 store glasses to read anything, I had a deer 20 foot from me once and I had the 250's on and could sea the sights great, but could not sea the deer, I dropped the glasses and could not sea the sights, but could sea the deer, MY TIME HAD COME,,, Then I found out if I wear 125 glasses, I can sea like when I was a kid again, That made me happy,,, Then after puttin optic sights on (front and rear) I got a lil better, THEN after lookin for a month, I found a place that makes a bigger front sight (3 different sizes and 2 colors) I now use the biggest one and it fills the V in the rear T/C optic
https://www.hivizsights.com/cart/shopexd.asp?id=77
I got this one cause it's 1/2 high, The higher the front, the lower and more solid the rear, It fit's the T/C and it fit my new Green Mountain barrel, (that's nother story, I like GM barrels, (BIG diff)
Gettin old sucks, BUT it sure does beat the alternative

I didn't answer bout the peep,, I drilled it out 4 times to get it bigger to where I could hunt with it but just never got the hang of it and went back to open optic sights,,,

One year I didn't even shoot at the doe because my bifocals were fine on the sight but I couldn't make out the deer; you can't take the bifocals hunting with iron sights. I'm pretty darned near sighted, so I use single vision distance lenses. Only when I'm in a state that doesn't allow scopes.

Don't feel too sorry for me, I nailed an elk with open sights.
