Scope recommendation

I have about $200.00 to play with and I need a scope, preferably lighweight, for a M-77 Ruger Ultra-Light 257 Roberts. I think a 3x9x40 would be the most practical.....TIA

Leupold has some in that price range and they are guarenteed for life just like the higher dollar ones. I have abt 30 of them. Got my first one in 1968, it went through a car wreck and looks pretty bad, but still works like it did when it was new. The 3 x 9 is and excellany choice for power range.

I just picked up a Burris Fullfield 2 in 3-9x40 with the ballistic plex for under $200.00 with a free set of binoculars. I have been very impressed so far with the quality of the optics. I have not shot it alot yet so I cant give you info on durability over time. Everyone I have talked to that has had them have liked them as well.

I think you will find quite a few decent scopes if you look hard enough.

The Burris Fullield 3-9 looks like a good deal to me, too.
Friend of mine bought one last year and it's done very well for him.
If you stay with Leupold, Burris, Nikon, Pentax, The Bushnell 3200 series, Sightron, or Weaver , you will get a quality product.
