preserving baitfish
Walmart and I'm sure lots of others sell preserved shad strips .They make a pretty fair catfish bait.
How do they preserve the fish slabs? |

I think this link will give you a basic canned fish Idea. My gandfather used to can fish to eat, I think it would make good fish bait.

I don't know but I've been told it's hard to swim with the weight of gold. On the other hand I have heard it said it's just as hard with the weight of lead. |

Thanks for the response
I'm gonna bookmark that site for to give home canning fish a try. I would think that 100 minutes in a pressure canner would make the fish too tender to stay on a hook.Gotta be kinda tough for that. |

The link was for human consumption. I would think as long as the lids stuck shut your good.
