Grand American shoot in Sparta, IL

This weekend and next, the world series of trap shooting is being held in Sparta, Illinois - about 50 miles east of St. Louis, MO. Its the ATA Grand American shoot, recently moved from Vandalia, Ohio.

All the major gun manufactiuers, many large dealers, and 50 other vendors have displays, tents, over a thousand guns for sale, reloading equipment, etc. Gunsmiths on-site to repair guns, port barrels, add recoil pads, etc - while you wait.

I really enjoyed my four hours there.

6 of us are leaving 4 AM next Thurs. About a 5 hr trip but I'm real curious to see the place. I need to talk to some clay target vendore also, I can't get any to give me quotes.
