Wisconsin 21 point Non Typical Whitetail

A good friend shot this buck last Friday morning. The story behind it is he was in his stand in Southern Wisconsin. A front was on its way with snow in the forecast. He was in his stand till 8 am or so and told himself he needed to get to work. He figured, whats another 5 minutes going to hurt. Shortly after, he looks down a land and thinks theres a tree moving. Low and behold, its not tree, its this bad boy. I asked if he was nervous and he said he look at the horns, determined that it was indeed a shooter, then never looked at the horns again. The buck proceeded to walk directly below his stand when he drew back and placed a perfect shot. The deer ran 75 yards. The deer had 21 scoreable points and had an inside spread of 20". It scored 198.5. What a buck!!The hunters name is Dan Kruchten and if from the Sauk City, WI area. Enjoy the pics and congrats to Dan!!!!!!!!

I think I would have been shaking too much to kill that deer with a bow. I am always more confident with a rifle, then a muzzleloader/shotgun, then a crossbow, and finally a bow. I would have been worried as heck.

Congratulations to your buddy.

Oh, and just in case nobody has already done so, welcome to the board.

Sauk County. Sauk and Buffalo in my opinion are the 2 best counties in the state for trophy whitetail...BBY

Sweet! But have you seen the feild&stream 07 records? John Shmucker, 36 point scored 218+1/8, beat that!
