35mm and flash cameras
Who said the flash will scare away big game? Here's a few pictures from 2006 of a PA giant, taken with a 35mm flash camera. He keeps coming back.

and another. Just proof that flash doesn't scare them away! I set my 35mm to take 2 consecutive pictures in a row. I normally get a reaction from the first consisting of a side shot, then a spread shot when they look to see what that light was. I guess I use the flash as a tool myself. Sometimes I get a reaction, a lot of times they just keep doing what they are doing. How do you set yours?

Petey,
It takes some nice pictures of little deer, but how does it do on a big buck? ![]()

I've noticed the animals here get spooked by the flash a coule times but don't mind the next day they come past the camera. I suppose they figure that bright light is onl;y there for a split second and then it's gone, no smell of danger,no loud shot report and doesn't hurt so it's a non threat, business as usual

Don't have to worry about the flash in Oregon. We're not allowed to hunt after dark.

Nice deer Petey. In your neck of the woods, that would be considered a monster.
Don, I think the flash is from a game camera on a trail at night, but I could be wrong.
