Tripod Feeder

I'm looking for some suggestions and feedback on tripod broadcast feeders. I want a good reliable feeder with a minimum amount of maintenance. I don't want a low end entry unit nor do I want a top of the line unit. I will want to run solar. There will be times where I will want the unit to run unattended for over a month at a time.

I'm looking to do some minor regular feeding to establish movement patterns and hopefully establish a spot that animals will "home base" around. Or at least make a regular visit to. I don't want to become the primary source of nutrition, especially for deer. (area has highest population in state) I don't mind feeding them and keeping them healthy, but I don't care to be supporting the full population.

My primary target for feeding is Turkey. Currently Turkey are very on again - off again visitors to my property and I would like them to be spending more time on the property. My hope is that a regular source of popular food will keep area birds within easy travel to my property. And make them much more regular visitors to the property.

What are some models of feeders I should be looking at?

What are the good and bad things about the unit you own?

Is there a particular feed that Turkey seem to be fond of?

Thanks in advance!
