Flood warnings

Here in SE Iowa due to a recent storm, 2+ inches locally, there is standing water in many of our grain fields.
The ground is saturated. Water has nowhere to go but into the waterways.
Our creek is 3/4 full. Many north of us are in flood condition.
Long range weather calls for rain starting tomorrow night then monday, tuesday and wednesday.
Wow what a year.
Drought or near drought for the past 5 or so years.
Now so wet.
The rivers have been crazy.
Generally this time of the year you could wade the Skunk and could probably do so in knee pants and not get them wet.Right now a feeder creek above Oakland mills monitored by the Corps has 14 feet of water in it.
There is 14+ feet at Agusta several miles below Oakland. It would probably have 2' in it normally.
Eventhough our neighbor combined his corn today.
Its been a crazy year.
Have a good one
