Only if your trying to make toothpicks!
Don't do it. Very dangerous to you and the bow.

thats not really a yes/no question as it would depend on the draw weight of the bow and the spine of the arrow.when I was a tad I had an old bigfoot all wood compound bow that you could shoot anything you wanted out of...course it was no powerhouse either...

wood aeros safe from compounds?

yes...they are safe to shoot from wheels. but like any other bow/ arrow combination make sure you have the right spine/weight.

of course, a wooden arrow will not be as accurate as a high dollar set of carbons or aluminums but when properly matched to the bow they're quite capable.

i shot wood from compounds for years, but like carbons, inspect them regularly for cracks or breaks. the single largest reason i do not shoot them as much any longer (cedar) is the cost; what used to cost less than one-hundred dollars for a hundred premium shafts now is well over the two hundred, closer to three hundred dollar mark now.

there are many, many archers using wood arrows out there.

a well made cedar arrow is a beautiful thing.
