70 degrees today snow tonight

Well it was one of those great late winter days.Bright sunshiny day.
Nearly all the snow and ice melted in just a few hours. I'm talking several inches of both. Now the creek behind our house is a quarter mile wide. Of the 3 roads leading to town 2 are flooded and impassable.
Rain now and then
We are supposed to have 2 inches of snow tonight and cold the rest of the week.
Must have been 50 geese sitting in the floodwaters just 1/4 mile from our back door.
Only saw a couple of ducks but they aren't quite as noticable as the geese.
It'll be spring someday
have a good one

SOS here also. 4 days ago it was -28° yesterday it was 52 ° today 5°. I can't figure if I'm getting a cold or it's pneumonia. I put on Vicks last night and my dog took one whiff and wouldn't even sleep with me.

Inconsiderate dolt. He's my back warmer. At least the days are getting longer. I can look out and at 6 o'clock theres still daylight. I hate the days when it's dark at 5.

Lets cheer up. spring is just around the corner now.

Best wishes, Bill

Some of the ponds and lakes are showing water around the edges and the fishing of open water should start pretty darn soon. We are lacking snow fall again this year in my area of the foothills but we still have two months where we most often get a large wet snow storm.

I took a walk along the creek this afternoon.
Wow I've got to get the chain saw started to clear the trees out of there.
Its supposed to get down to 3 degrees tonight.
then around 40 sunday.
Almost all the snow is gone.
I walked over to where the geese were sitting last weekend and was quite surprised how many ears of corn was there. You could see where they were eating on several cobs. It must have been downed corn that the picker missed and there was a lot of it.
I may have walked 3 miles and when I got back home I was happy to see a small flock of geese do a low fly over the area I was just hiking in. They didn't stay since the water is way back down in the creek.
It was a nice walk.
have a good one
