Instinctive Shooting Video by Petey

As I was practicing tonight, I got the urge to share a little insight on instinctive shooting. So I grabbed the camera and this is what I came up with in the last half hour of daylight.

I wouldn't call myself a gap shooter, and I didn't get into too techincal explanation of what that is and what it means. Tell me what you think or if you believe my thought process is way off. All I know is that it works for me

Click the link below for the video. Downloader beware, it's 8.5 MB so it may take a while if you're on dial-up!

Enjoy!

The gist of the video is NOT to aim. I know that sounds weird in our world of hunting and shooting, but true instinctive shooters don't actually aim.

Key points are concentrating on a single spot on your target and after lots of practice you just know how and when to hold the bow and release the string to hit that exact spot.

No difference then throwing a ball and hitting the mark. How on earth do you do that without aiming? Same rules apply...you just know when to release that ball.

Short and sweet, that's it So whatever you do, don't aim! he he
