Tulsa Show Report

I thought the folks on this board would like to know about the Tulsa show and what I saw while there. I think it all has a direct reflection of the economy and the gun market. First off I went with the expectation that it would be a table owners buyer's show, a good deal of layoffs and closings should have brought out the owners wanting to sell with a few buyers mixed in with the majority being sellers. We, five guys with five tables, did not expect to sell much of our wares, which were sporting clays shotguns and high-end stuff such as that.

Well by the end of the show our expectations were turned upside down as the show, at least for us, was a total reverse of what we expected. There was a bit of selling by the crowd, but a lot more buying went on than selling and $2-4,000 shotguns sold.

The surprise was the number of ARs that were bringing 1,800 to 2,200 and the Ruger Minis selling for 600 to 800. These were bought guns walking around, not prices seen.

So, for sure folks still have money and they are still buying quality guns, not just ARs or Minis.
Best,
Ed
