New eTrex Legend Hcx

I recently purchased a Garmin eTrex Legend Hcx and I was wondering if anyone had any issues with using a 4GB microSD card? On the Garmin website, I was unable to find any information on specifications or limitations with regard to the size of microSD card you can use. I did find a FAQ concerning a 4GB card, and the Garmin answer was that if you had a problem, you could download a firmware update for your GPS. Has anyone had problems with microSD card size?

Also, I suckered-up and bought the Mapsource Topo US 2008 software, just so that I could have something better than the 1:1,000,000 basemap that comes with the unit. I know I could have bought something like the MapTech Terrain Navigator software of something like that and just transfered the waypoints or just printed a map (which I will probably do anyway). But, I really wanted to have the better detail on the unit itself. It kinda sucks that you have to use Garmin's maps on the unit - kinda anti-competitive, if you ask me.

I would be interested to know how other people use their GPSs for hunting/scouting purposes.

I would only recommend a Garmin and I would only recommend Mapsource Topo. This is the only product that I know of that they provide free updates to the software and free updates to the unit firmware. Mapsource also interacts with Google Earth,,,, SWEET ! I have been pounding my Legend for 3+ Years on the handlebar of an ATV.
