My recent Nyala

Having taken a good trophy Nyala before, I found myself wanting to hunt them again in their native land: Zululand, or known today as Kwa-Zulu Natal. That wish came through a few weeks ago when I arrived in one of our Natal concessions along the Tugela river. Vast mountain ranges abounded with Nyala, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Mountain Reedbuck, Kudu, Zebra and a host of other plains game. Record rains in May had left the area as thick as mid summer and game more difficult to spot. Cloudy skies prevailed over the first three days but after looking at a good number of trophy bulls, I was able to take a real trophy with my .280 pushing 160 grain Nosler Accubonds at 220 yards. I will do this hunt again...it's addictive.
Good hunting,
grayghost

Thanks Dom. I hope to post some more pics soon. I was successful on another good bushbuck, warthog (shot for Leopard bait for a friend) and a Crocodile. A friend darted a Rhino and took his Nyala, White Blesbok and Common Reedbuck. We saw a wealth of great animals but were only hunting specific trophies this trip.
Cheers,
David
